  1. ^ The purpose of the course (in terms of result of training and the competence).

The purpose of the given course is studying by students domestic and foreign technologies of social work with taking into account of specificity of the organisation of social work in Ukraine.

As a result of mastering of a course students receive knowledge about:
    1. Structure and principles of construction of technology of social work;
    2. general technology of social work: social prevention, social rehabilitation, social services, care and patronage;
    3. special technologies of social work with the elderly, people with functional disabilities, children with special needs development, orphans, homeless and correction of children, social work with family.

And possess skills based on general and special technologies to plan with the individual case of user of social services, choose according to its problems, needs and resources, methods and forms of social work; investigate client’s problems, formulating hypotheses about their causes, align with client goals, objectives and content work together, to plan a specific social problem and the customer, develop a social project; to be able to interact with government and public institutions, the media of social work.

A term rating mark is figured out issuing from the following criteria:
  • written module works 60% (including 20% is spent on checking up student’s individual work)
  • taking part in seminars 30%
  • individual work (library research) 10%
