The educational purpose of a course:

To provide mastering by students knowledge about:
  • The basic stages of origin, formation and evolution of social work;
  • the basic tendencies and patterns of development of social work;
  • feature and specificity in the decision of social problems at different historical periods.

The developing purpose of a course:

To provide formation at students abilities:
  • to use at studying of dynamics of social work historical, comparative and system methods;
  • to reconstruct and use in practice of the forms and a techniques of national philanthropy and social work;
  • to define perspectives of revival of historical traditions of social work in Ukraine.

The educative purpose of a course:

To promote comprehension by students of humanistic essence of social work, to formation corresponding valuable orientations it them of the future professional work, readiness for revival of beneficial traditions of the Ukrainian people.
