That's why we take our tickets beforehand. If I travel by train or by plane my friends see me off at the rail-way station or in the airport. Sometimes we go to the seaside for a few days. As usual the weather is fine. It is warm, we can swim. It is a pleasure to watch white ships.

"Iced earth" прошли долгий путь от малоизвестной инди-метал группы до очень популярного в Европе (а особенно в Германии) коллектива, исполняющего качественный мелодичный хэви-метал. История этой команды началась еще в 1985 году, когда она носила название "Purgatory". Тогда это была обычная тинэйджерская гаражная банда, в состав которой входили гитаристы Джон Шаффер и Билл Оуэн, вокалист Джин Адам, басист Дэйв Эйбелл и ударник Грег Сеймур. Под этой вывеской парни записали свою первую демку "Psychotic Dreams". В те времена чуваки больше увлекались сценическим имиджем, чем собственно музыкой. Даже когда название сменилось на "Iced earth" упор делался на сценическое шоу, где среди крови и печени возвышались музыканты, одетые в рясы. В конце концов им это надоело и ребята сосредоточились на музыке. Первой студийной работой "Iced earth" стало демо "Horror Show", куда вошла новая композиция, "Dracula", а также два переработанных трека с "Psychotic Dreams" "Jack" и "In Jason's Mind".

К продюсерской работе вместе с Дэйвом Чаварри был привлечен ветеран Рон Сент-Жермен, известный своим сотрудничеством с "Tool", "311", "Soundgarden", "Creed" и другими. После долгих недель напряженных сессий альбом "Revolution… Revolucion" вышел в свет на "Roadrunner records". "Ill Nino" удалось создать вполне достойную пластинку с англо-испаноязычными текстами и разноплановой музыкой, сочетавшей мелодичность ("Unreal"), душевность ("Rumba") и тяжесть ("I Am Loco"). Выпустив диск, группа много гастролировала, причем большинство ее концертов проходило с аншлагами. Приняли участие музыканты и в традиционном "Оззфесте". По возвращении из Европы, где они делили концертные площадки с "Raging speedhorn" и "Pitchshifter" ребята вновь отправились в студию, чтобы порадовать фанов своим очередным творением под рабочим названием "Confessions".

После того как Краус покинул команду (позднее он оказался в "Brave new world"), в 1992 году "Sojourn" сменили вывеску на "Iluvatar". Группа принялась активно выступать "живьем" в окрестностях Балтимора и довольно быстро сколотила себе армию преданных поклонников. Хотя основной упор музыканты делали на собственные композиции, в их репертуаре также неизменно присутствовали каверы на "Marillion", "Genesis", "Styx" и "Pink Floyd". Вышедший на "Kinesis records" в ноябре 1993 года одноименный дебютный CD "Iluvatar" быстро добился самого продаваемого этим лейблом релиз.

In the 2000s, the net migration rate was estimated to be 0.66 migrants per 1,000 population a year. This is a very low rate of immigration compared to other European countries, the USA or Canada. Since the beginning of the 1990s, France has been attempting to curb immigration, first with the Pasqua laws, followed by both right-wing and socialist-issued laws. The immigration rate is currently lower than in other European countries such as United Kingdom and Spain; however, some say it is doubtful that the policies in themselves account for such a change. Again, as in the 1920s and 1930s, France stands in contrast with the rest of Europe. Back in the 1920s and 1930s, when European countries had a high fertility rate, France had a low fertility rate and had to open its doors to immigration to avoid population decline. Today, it is the rest of Europe that has very low fertility rates, and countries like Germany or Spain avoid population decline only through immigration. In France, however, fertility rate is still fairly high for European standards, in fact the highest in Europe after Ireland, and so most population growth is due to natural increase, unlike in the other European countries. This difference in immigration trends is also due to the fact that the labor market in France is currently less dynamic than in other countries such as the UK, Ireland or Spain , this may even be a more relevant factor than low birth rates (because Ireland has both the highest fertility and the highest net immigration rate in Europe, whereas Eastern European countries such as Poland or Ukraine have both a low fertility and a high net emigration rate, as well as a high unemployment rate).

Тем не менее, материал звучал достаточно свежо, подтверждая мастерство музыкантов. С появлением "Failures For Gods" группа достигла статуса хедлайнеров, в котором она провела последовавшее европейско-американское турне. На этот раз "Immolation" не стали выдерживать паузу между релизами, и на следующий год выбросили на рынок новый альбом, ставший их кульминацией многолетней работы. Композиции стали еще тяжелее и мрачнее, но вместе с тем откровеннее и эмоциональнее. Промоушен "Close to a world below" устроили в американском турне в компании с "Six feet under". На время этих гастролей Вигну подменял Джон Макенти, а на следующий год пришлось временно заменить Уилкинсона (его место занимал Билл Тэйлор из "Angel corpse").

Вдохновленные мрачной природой сурового норвежского леса двое молодых парней решили организовать соответствующий музыкальный проект. Звали их Аббат Дум Оккульта и Демоназ Дум Оккульта, а группа, созданная осенью 1990 года получила название "Immoratal". Надо сказать, что оба чувака уже пару лет разминались на норвежское металлической сцене: Аббат в "Old funeral", а Демоназ в "Amputation". Ориентиром для музыки и имиджа нового коллектива стали такие команды как "Bathory", "Possessed" и "Celtic Frost". А чтобы набраться побольше вдохновения парни шатались по лесам, жгли костры и пили виски. Там они нашли уединенное местечко, назвали его Блаширх и построили на нем свою концепцию. Кстати кроме вышеупомятух личностей в первый состав "Immortal" также вошли гитарист Йорн Инге Тансберг и ударник Гедда по прозвищу Армагедда.

Human being evolved from other pre-existing species. Even in ancient times it has been noticed that humans have a lot of in common with a other animals just like other animals human had the same internal organs (heart, lungs, liver etc.). Ancient Greeks had a scale of living organisms known by their time. Human being was placed at the end of the scale. Below were higher animals like houses, sheep and so forth, but it is hard to believe that humans were next step in the biological evolution of living organisms right after higher animals. Only by the eighteenth century ape-like being became known to Europe. This discover shed light on a huge gap between higher animal and humans (Darwinism defended, Ruse, pp. 230). After that some scientists (for example Huxley) assumed that humans descended from apes. Later, having examined all differences between apes and humans, Huxley came to conclusion that humans and apes descended from a common ancestor. One would probably ask why our common ancestor did split into two branches, apes and Australopithecus afarensis (which is considered to be an ancestor of all hominids). There is a scientific explanation, which relates to climatic changes in Africa. Our ancestor was used to live in the area of heavy precipitation. With a passage of time climate started turning into dry one and forestlands began retreating, leaving behind Savannahs. Some species stayed in dwindling forests. Others (our ancestors) started advancing toward opened spaces.

They state that testosterone may provide a “plausible explanation for an association between baldness and coronary heart disease.” The reference cited is a study that shows elevated testosterone levels in men with prostate cancer and baldness; however, these were no measured testosterone concentrations in the data presented. Dr. Brian L.G. Morgan and Roberta Morgan, in their book “Hormones,” are tying to link high testosterone level with coronary heart disease. They bring into attention the fact that in general, since women have lower testosterone levels than men, according to available poll of data, they live longer lives. “Equal numbers for both sexes are around by age thirty, and only 70 percent of men reach age sixty-five, where as 84 percent of women do.”

Для этого дела басист все-таки был необходим, и на сессионной основе пригласили Танели Ярва. Заодно поменяли и гитариста на Ярно Анттила. Оба новичка вскоре сменили статус сессионщиков на постоянных членов группы. Жесткий отвязной альбом "Tol Cormt Norz Norz Norz", записанный с их участием стал очень удачным дебютом для "Impaled Nazarene", попав на 40-ю позицию в финских чартах. После выхода следующей пластинки, "Ugra-Karma", группа отправилась в свое первое европейское турне, составив компанию "Ancient rites". Летом того же года музыканты вновь оказались в излюбленной "Tico Tico" и приступили к сессиям третьего альбома. Его рабочее название "Hail to Finland" в последний момент было изменено на "Suomi Finland perkele". Пластинка вызвала у публики и критиков смешанные реакции, а "Impaled Nazarene" тем временем вновь колесили по Европе, на этот раз вместе с "Absu" и "Sadistik execution".

Последовало национальное турне, а тем временем композиция "Blood bath" появилась в виде клипа. Эта же песня попала на "комбатовский" сборник "Bullets" вместе с вещами от "Exodus" и "Megadeth". К сожалению на этом отношения "Impaler" с "Combat records" закончились, и группа осталась без крыши. Положение ухудшилось еще и уходом Боба Джонсона. Походящего барабанщика найти не удалось, и за короткое время на этой должности перебывали Кен Ламер, Эрин Райан и Терри Инграм. В команду также пробовали добавить второго гитариста в лице в лице Джона Стрейдинджера, но особых результатов это не дало. Наконец, несмотря на все кадровые проблемы в 1989 году группе удалось выпустить второй альбом, "Wake up screaming", изданный на "Channel 83".

После оформления бумаг парни отправились в студию "Creative spaces", где к февралю 1990-го подготовили дебютную пластинку. Однако в продажу диск поступил лишь в ноябре, поскольку пришлось перепечатывать обложку, на первоначальном варианте которой были изображены сцены каннибализма, расчленения и прочие мерзости. "Ultimo Mondo Cannibale" был неплохо встречен в кругах андеграунда и относительно неплохо продавался для такого экстрима. Альбом даже засветился в чартах одной из радиостанций, попав там на 96-е место. Следующим релизом "Impetigo" стал раритетный ныне EP "Buio omega", выпущенный лейблом "A Whisper In Darkness". Пластинка представляла собой сборник ремиксов с сессий "Giallo" и один новый трек "Harbinger of death".
