A few years ago, European scientists sniggered when studies in the United States -- for example, at Harvard and Duke universities -- showed a correlation between faith, prayer and recovery from illness. Now 1,200 studies at research centers around the world have come to similar conclusions, according to "Psychologie Heute," a German journal, citing, for example, the marked improvement of multiple sclerosis patients in Germany's Ruhr District do to "spiritual resources."

В инди-чартах журнала "Kerrang!" релиз занял вторую строчку, а "Metal hammer" обозвал его "альбомом месяца". После прокрутки на MTV клипа "Sweet tears" тамошняя редакция подтвердила оценку, данную "Хаммером". Первое глобальное европейское турне, включающее участие в различных фестивалях состоялось в 1994 году. А после записи мини-альбома "Pentecost III" команда отправилась покорять Бразилию. Перед записью второго лонгплея коллектив покинул Даррен Уайт. Чтобы не брать никого со стороны обязанности вокалиста взял на себя один из братьев Каванагов Винни. Поменялась и музыка - мелодии стали помрачнее. Пластинка 1996 года "Eternity" получилась еще более мелодичной и атмосферной, за что заслужила похвалу со стороны многих критиков. Некоторые даже начали сравнивать "Anathema" с " Pink Floyd".

He was born on the 21st of May in 1921. His parents were teachers. They paid a lot of attention to their son's education. He graduated from Moscow University in 1942. In 1947 he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Science. Later in 1953 he defended his Doctorate Thesis and became the member of the Academy of Sciences.

Американская команда "Angel" была основана в 1975 году Панки Мидоусом (гитара), Франком Димино (вокал), Грегом Джиуффриа (клавишные), Мики Джонсом (бас) и Барри Брандтом (ударные). Как водится, свою карьеру группа начала с выступлений в различных клубах. На одном из таких выступлений случайно оказался Джин Симмонс из " Kiss", которому ребята настолько понравились, что он в 3 часа ночи позвонил президенту "Casablanca Records" с требованием заключить с "Ангелами" контракт. Тому ничего не оставалось делать, как последовать прихоти Симмонса, и "Angel" приступили к работе над дебютным альбомом. Релиз состоялся в октябре 1975-го и впоследствии был признан лучшей работой группы. Особой популярностью пользовалась композиция "Tower", которой коллектив долгое время открывал концерты. Музыкальный стиль команды журналисты окрестили как "гранд помп рок".

После серии концертов вместе с " Blind Guardian", "Tankard", "Paradox", "Sodom", " Destruction" и " Running Wild" проблемы достигли предела. Первым не выдержал Кое и хлопнул дверью. Вслед за ним разбежались и остальные, поставив на "Angel dust" крест. Кое позже был замечен в "Scanners" и "Reactor", а Банкс ушел в "Crows". Франк, правда, не оставлял попыток реанимировать свой старый проект, но долгое время у него ничего в этом плане не получалось. Возрождение "Angel dust" состоялось лишь в 1997 году. "Старичков" на тот момент было лишь двое Франк и Дирк, а состав был доукомплектован Берндом Ауферманном (гитара), Дирком Тсуришем (гитара, вокал) и братом Банкса, Стивеном (клавишные).

В 1957 году в Ньюкасле, Англия, несколько парней - клавишник Алан Прайс (р. 19 апреля 1942), басист Чэс Чэндлер (р.18 декабря 1938), ударник Джон Стил (р. 4 февраля 1941) - объединились в группу, выступавшую поочередно под вывесками "The Рagans", "The Kansas City Five" и "Alan Рrice Combo". Изредка с этими составами выступал вокалист Эрик Бердон (р. 11 мая 1941), который в 1962 году вместе с гитаристом Хилтоном Валентайном (22 мая 1943), присоединился к ним на постоянной основе. В те времена их репертуар состоял в основном из негритянских ритм-энд-блюзовых номеров от Чака Берри, Бо Диддли, Джимми Рида и других. Ансамбль выделялся среди прочих подобных британских групп оригинальной интерпретацией канонов стиля с подчеркнуто выделенной партией клавишных. Необычной была и манера пения Бердона, который буквально выкрикивал слова в микрофон. За непривычно экспрессивную сценическую манеру британская пресса окрестила их "Animals" ("Звери") - это слово и стало новым названием ансамбля. Завоевав признание в родном Ньюкасле, группа в 1963 года дала серию концертов в различных городах Англии с известным негритянским певцом Сонни Боем Уильямсоном.

People have lived on our planet for many years. They lived and live on different continents, in different countries. People depend on their planet, on the sun, on animals and plants around them. People must take care of Earth. Our ecology becomes worse and worse with every new day. Many species of animals and birds are disappearing nowadays. People destruct wildlife, cut down trees to make furniture. They forget that people cant live without trees and plants, because they fill air with oxygen. And, of course, great problems are population and animals destruction. The main reason of pollution is rubbish. Most of our rubbish goes to big holes in the ground, called dumps. But dumps are very dangerous for our life cause they are full of rats, which can carry infections away from dumps. Another way to get rid of rubbish is to burn it. But the fires make poisons, which go into the air and pollute it. But pollution isnt the only actual problem. Every day a big number of animals dissapeares. People kill animals for different aims: e.g. people hunt whales for their meat and oil; elephants for their tusks, crocodiles for their leather and so on. And also animals are used for medical experiments. The most wide speared from such animals are monkeys. Modern life is bad for animals, birds, fish. The air isnt fresh and the water isnt pure. They dont have good meal and facilities for the life. You can find their names in the Red Book.
228. Annihilator

Основателем "Annihilator" является гитарист Джефф Уотерс. Сначала он играл в "Trojan hammer", но эта команда просуществовала недолго, и он основал свой проект "Jeff Waters project", потихоньку трансформировавшийся в "Annihilator". In 1827, his mother Frances Trollope moved to America with Trollope's three younger siblings, where she opened a bazaar in Cincinnati, which proved unsuccessful. Thomas Trollope joined them for a short time before returning to the farm at Harrow, but Anthony stayed in England throughout. His mother returned in 1831 and rapidly made a name for herself as a writer, soon earning a good income. His father's affairs, however, went from bad to worse. He gave up his legal practice entirely and failed to make enough income from farming to pay rents to his landlord Lord Northwick. In 1834 he fled to Belgium to avoid arrest for debt. The whole family moved to a house near Bruges, where they lived entirely on Frances's earnings. In 1835, Thomas Trollope died.

С выходом альбома "Among The Living", спродюсированного Эдди Крамером, "Anthrax" становится самой популярной спид-метал-группой. Их композиции "I Am The Law" и "Indians" заняли верхние строчки британских чартов, а неимоверно интересные "живые" шоу сделали любимцами прессы и публики. Хитовая юморная песня "I'm The Man" постоянно исполнялась на бис на концертах. Однако, следующий альбом "State of euphoria" оказался не очень удачным. "Persistance of time" оказался добротно сделанным альбомом, а кавер-версия композиции Джо Джексона "Got The Time" с этого диска стала хитом. Вышедший в 1991 году сборник "Attack of the killer b's" стал одним из наиболее популярных альбомов "Anthrax", а больше всего публике нравилась записанная вместе с "Public enemy" композиция "Bring The Noise". "Anthrax" и "Public enemy" провели совместное турне.

Anthroposophical ideas are vessels fashioned by love, and man's being is spiritually summoned by the spiritual world to partake of their content. Anthroposophy must bring the light of true humanness to shine out in thoughts that bear love's imprint; knowledge is only the form in which man reflects the possibility of receiving in his heart the light of the world spirit that has come to dwell there and from that heart illumine human thought. Since anthroposophy cannot really be grasped except by the power of love, it is love-engendering when human beings take it in a way true to its own nature. That is why a place where love reigned could be built in Dornach in the very midst of raging hatreds. Words expressing anthroposophical truths are not like words spoken elsewhere today; rightly conceived, they are all really reverential pleas that the spirit make itself known to men.

Chekhov, as an established writer, was able to develop a style of his own. Though he never gave up writing comic stories, he began working in a more serious vein. In 1887 Ivanov, his first play, established Chekhov as a dramatist. From then on, he concentrated on writing plays, as well as short stories. Chekhov was seriously ill. He had tuberculosis and knew what it meant. By 1892 his health was s6 bad that he was afraid to spend another winter in Moscow. He bought a small estate near a village Melikhovo, 50 miles from Moscow. He spent 5 years there, and those were happy years in spite of the illness. He wrote some of his best stories there, including Ward No.6, several well-known one-act comedies and two of his serious dramatic masterpieces, The Seagull and Uncle Vаnуа. The Seagull was first staged in the Alexandrinsky Theatre in Petersburg. It was a complete failure because of the dull and clumsy production. It was a cruel blow to Chekhov. However, the play was successfully performed as the first production of the Moscow Art Theatre in 1898. From then on, Chekhov was closely connected with this theatre and with its founder, K.S. Stanislavsky. In 1901 he married an Art Theatre actress, Olga Knipper, who acted in his play The Three Sisters the same year. Chekhov's health went from bad to worse and he had to spend the remaining years in the Crimea and other health spas. The Cherry Orchard, Ms last play, was produced in 1904. Soon after the first night Chekhov died. He was 44. several generations of writers both in Russia and abroad studied and imitated Chekhov to perfect their own literary style. Chekhov had an immense influence on the 20th century drama.

В 1983-м команда повторила успех, выбросив на рынок "Forged in fire", ничем не уступавший своему предшественнику. И хотя композиции немного потеряли в скорости, зато оставались достаточно тяжелыми. Чтобы двигаться дальше к успеху, группа решила перебраться на более продвинутый лейбл "Metal blade". Однако за ней остался должок для "Attic", и музыканты выпустили пластинку, состоящую из пяти лучших вещей с предыдущих релизов и пяти ранее не реализованных треков. Продюсировал альбом Рик Броуд, что было довольно странным выбором, поскольку Рик ранее работал с более коммерческими " Poison". Диск заметным образом отличался в худшую сторону от предыдущих работ и содержал лишь одну неплохую вещицу, "Backwaxed".

Es ist aber problematisch, diese Regime mit Hilfe konventionele Methoden (z.B. FFT) zu untersuchen, so verwendet man dafuer Zeit-Frequenz Repraesentationen, solche wie z.B. Geglaettete Wigner Distribution (SWD), die die Veraenderung der Energieverteilung im Frequenzbereich mit der Zeit beschreiben, und deren Parametern angepasst sein koennen, die interessierende Signaleigenschaften (momentan Amplituden der Signalkomponenten) mit der vorgegebenen Genauigkeit zu bewerten [1]. Diese Zeit-Frequenz Repraesentationen werden als 2-dimensionale farben Abbildungen - Sonogrammen - grafisch dargestellt.

Пожалуй самая нестандартная группа на рок-сайте, финская "Apocalyptica" представляет собой квартет виолончелистов. Четверо музыкантов Антеро Маннинен, Макс Лилья, Ейкка Топпинен и Пааво Лотьенен вместе учились в музыкальной академии имени Яна Сибелиуса в Хельсинки. Ребята давно уже проводили эксперименты с "классическими" инструментами, пробуя сыграть на них что-нибудь роковое типа Хендрикса. Все они были большими поклонниками " Metallica" (даже название будущего квартета оканчивалось также) и как-то жарким финским летом 1993 года им пришла в голову идея исполнить композиции любимой команды на виолончелях. Поначалу парни играли просто для своего удовольствия, но однажды в 1995 году после выступления в одном из хельсинских клубов им был предложен контракт на выпуск пластинки.

It is a day for fun. It is celebrated on the 1st of April. We like to play jokes on the 1st of April. Our jokes are harmless and the victim of them is called an April fool. It is possible to play jokes on friends, parents, relatives. Sometimes we try to play jokes on our teachers if they have a sense of humour. We say that something is wrong with her hair-do when in fact all is in order. We can say that we are not ready for the lesson but then we read texts well and retell them in a proper way. Our jokes are silly and gay that's why the teachers are not angry.

К 1984 году в группе установился диктат Гудвина, что, в конце концов, вызвало сильное недовольство остальных членов команды и привело к развалу банды. Каждый из музыкантов пошел своим путем, и лишь в 1985-м Гудвин и Гринвэй при участии сессионщиков записали очередной альбом "April wine", "Walking Throug Fire", который группа задолжала своему лейблу по контракту. Целых семь лет о проекте ничего не было слышно, и лишь в 1992-м Майклу стукнуло в голову снова заняться "Апрельским вином". Идею поддержал Гринвэй, приостановивший работу над своим сольником. Мерсер, прослышав об этом, бросил свою последнюю группу, "The Buzz Band", и присоединился к бывшим коллегам.

Since the very beginning of its existence, the human being has been developing. It has never stopped, and it never will. During the last couple of centuries it has been developing very aggressively, and it has reached tremendous achievements in all fields. Unfortunately mankind has achieved tremendous success in polluting its environment also. Nowadays, nature is missing many of its inhabitants: those who are supposed to be under the protection of humans as young brothers and sisters. Pollution was the reason for their extinction. Finally, the humanity started paying more attention to what surrounds it. It started thinking about the future, its future generations, and the inheritance to these generations. People have started asking themselves more often questions like, “What will we have left to other children after us?” Currently, humanity has plenty of global environmental problems that it has to take care of now. Tomorrow will be too late. Some of these global environmental problems are global warming, deforestation, freshwater contamination, destruction of ozone layer of the earth, pollution of space orbit of the earth by parts of used equipment. Desiccation of the Aral Sea is one of the items on the list.

Казалось, что все идет хорошо, как вдруг стало известно, что коллектив расстается со своим фронтменом, Йоханом Лиива. По мнению Майка Эмотта тому просто перестало хватать агрессивности. Неожиданно для всех на место Йохана пригласили немку Анжелу Госсов, выступавшую ранее в малоизвестных экстремальных группах "Asmodina" и "Mistress". Однако "Arch enemy" не прогадали, поскольку эта сексапильная девица рычала в микрофон намного громче, агрессивнее и энергичнее многих коллег-мужчин. Получив прилив свежей крови, команда вновь отправилась в студию все с тем же Нордстромом. Правда, финальное микширование доверили англичанину Энди Снипу, известному по своим работам с "Nevermore", " Testament" и " Kreator".
