My native city is Odessa. Odessa, a seaport and administrative center of Odessa region, is situated in the south-western part of Ukraine. It stands on a shallow indentation of the Black Sea coast at a point approximately 19 miles (31 km.) north of the Dniester River estuary and about 275 miles (443 km.) south of Kiev. Although a settlement existed 6n the site in ancient times, the history of the modern city began in the 14th century when the Tartar fortress of Kha-dzhybey was established there; it later passed to Rich Pospolyta and in 1764 to Turkey. The fortress was stormed by the Russians in 1789 and ceded to Russia in 1791. A new fortress was built in 179293, and in 1794 a naval base and commercial quay were added. In 1795 the new port was named Odessa for the ancient Greek colony of Odesos, the site of which was believed to be in the vicinity.

Two years later the first modern Olympic Games took place. Of course, the competitions were held in Greece to symbolize the continuation of the centuries-old tradition. In 1896 the International Olympic Committee was set up. It is the central policymaking body of the Olympic movement. It is formed by the representatives of all countries which take part in the Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee decides upon the programme of the games, the number of the participants and the cityhost for the Games. Over one hundred and fifty countries are represented in the International Olympic Committee now. Besides, each country has its National Olympic Committee.

The most dramatic episode of these Games was in the marathon, run from Windsor to Shepherd's Bush in London, the site of a new stadium. Pietri (Italy) led into the arena but collapsed and was disqualified for accepting assistance from officials. The gold medal went to the second man home, Hayes (USA), but Queen Alexandra, who was present opposite the finishing line, was so moved by the Italian's plight that she awarded him special gold cup. The 400 metres provided an opportunity for Halswelle (GB) to become the only man in Olympic history to win by a walk-over. The final was declared void after an American had been disqualified for boring. Two other Americans withdrew from re-run final in protest, leaving Halswelle an unopposed passage. Britain won the polo, and all the boxing, lawn tennis, rackets, rowing, and yachting titles as well as five out of six cycle races.

Вторым существенным недостатком этой организационной формы является негибкость партнерских соглашений. Если принимается новый партнер или один из существующих партнеров умирает или хочет выйти из дела, то должны быть приглашены юристы для составления нового партнерского соглашения. Это негибкость создает неудобства в процессе привлечения финансового капитала, необходимого для деятельности предприятия и финансирования его роста. Некоторые предприятия, такие, как юридические фирмы, требующие мало оборудования и не нуждающиеся в больших объемах товаров на полках для продажи, могут сформировать необходимые фонды за счет состояния единоличного владельца или партнеров, возможно, с помощью банковских ссуд или других лиц. This issue usually arises when a third party seeks to impose personal liability on would-be shs. Another method of challenging corporate status, used only by the state, is a quo warranto proceeding. Note: where there has not been compliance with the statute, we apply principles of de facto, de jure and corp by estoppel. Where there has been compliance with the statute, we apply principles of disregard of corporate fiction, a/k/a piercing the corporate veil, which is an exception, rather than a rule.

Slang tends to originate in subcultures within a society. Occupational groups (for example, loggers, police, medical professionals, and computer specialists) are prominent originators of both jargon and slang; other groups creating slang include the armed forces, teenagers, racial minorities, ghetto residents, labor unions, citizens-band radiobroadcasters, sports groups, drug addicts, criminals, and even religious denominations (Episcopalians, for example, produced spike, a High Church Anglican). Slang expressions often embody attitudes and values of group members. They may thus contribute to a sense of group identity and may convey to the listener information about the speaker's background. Before an apt expression becomes slang, however, it must be widely adopted by members of the subculture. At this point slang and jargon overlap greatly. If the subculture has enough contact with the mainstream culture, its figures of speech become slang expressions known to the whole society. For example, cat (a sport), cool (aloof, stylish), Mr. Charley (a white man), The Man (the law), and Uncle Tom (a meek black) all originated in the predominantly black Harlem district of New York City and have traveled far since their inception. Slang is thus generally not tied to any geographic region within a country.

The theme of most of his works, even of his tales, is quite realistic. He shows the contrast between wealth and poverty. His own sympathy for poor, labouring people is quite evident.

The first descriptions of Ottawa's future site were written by the founder of New France, Samuel de Champlain, in 1613. The rivers served as passageways for explorers and traders over the following two centuries. The Napoleonic Wars increased Britain's need for shipbuilding timber, and the Ottawa Valley offered just such resources. In 1800 an American, Philemon Wright, had begun timbering across the Ottawa River in what became the city of Hull. During the War of 1812 between Britain and the United States, the Rideau provided the British with a safe shipping route from the Ottawa River to Kingston, on Lake Ontario, thus spurring settlement of Ottawa. It was hastened by the arrival in 1826 of Lt. Col. John By of the Royal Engineers to work on canalizing the river, and the town became Bytown.

- The Russian Plain takes up the European part of Russia. There are low, rolling uplands and broad rivers there. In the north the relief of the plain is scattered with lakes and swamps. The Urals form the eastern boundary of the Russian Plain. It is held that the Urals separate Europe from Asia. The Urals stretch for about 2,100 km from north to south. The highest peak, Mount Narodnaya, reaches 1,895 m, and other maintain tops range from 900 to 1,500 m. The West Siberian Plain merges in the east with the Central Siberian Plateau. The easternmost part of Russia is bounded by various mountain chains. The Far East of Russia includes the Kamchatka and Chukchi peninsulas and the Kuril and Sakhalin islands.

Id like to tell about my grand-grandmother Ann. She is the real hero for our family. She died some years ago? Her age was great. She was very strong woman, shes never cried and always helped o other families. When her family perished and her dear husband too, she perceived it without emotions, but Im sure that granny was very, very upset, and simply did not showed it. She was religious woman. Everybody, especially my father, always heard her opinion. Our family always remember her as the strong and very clever woman. And we try to be like she was.

Usinsk district is rich in oil, so they get oil here. There are many industrial enterprises in it connected with oil extraction, they are «Komineft», «Arkhangelsk Negtegaz» and others. There are some joint - ventures such as «NobelOil», «KomiArcticOil», «KomiQuest» and others where the specialists from Canada, the USA, Great Britain, France work. In autumn 1994 our Usinsk became world - known as the town where the greatest ecological catastrophy took place. The old oil pipeline was broken, a lot of oil and products streamed on and in the ground, flew into the rivers and their tributaries. The news has quickly spread in the world, many foreign correspondents visited Usinsk in November 1994. «Green Peace» called this a great ecological catastrophe but our Komi oil bosses called it only a local incident without much consequences. The rescue operation I has been done to clean the banks of the rivers and the nearest places covered (polluted) with oil and oil products. The old broken pipeline was changed with the new one. I think, its such an unpleasant event in the life of our town.

- In December 1816 Abraham Lincoln's family moved to south-western Indiana. There his father built a cabin. Abraham helped to clear the fields and take care of the crops. The unhappiest period of his boyhood followed the death of his mother A year later his father married Sarah Bush Johnston. Later Lincoln called her his "angel mother". She encouraged the boy's taste for reading. Yet the original source of Lincoln's desire to learn remains a mystery. Both of his parents were almost completely illiterate, and he himself received little formal education. In March 1830 the Lincoln family moved to Illinois, with Lincoln himself driving the team of oxen. Having just reached the age of 21, he was about to begin life on his own. He was especially noted for the skill and strength with which he could wield an axe. Good-natured though somewhat moody, talented as a storyteller, he readily attracted friends. Later he demonstrated his other abilities.

Born in 1921 Sakharov an outstanding scientist and public figure worked on hydrogen bomb and came to conclusion that any atomic and nuclear weapon should be banned. He protested against the invasion in Afghanistan, against any violation of human rights. Abroad he was recognised as a civil rights activist and received the Nobel Prize. At home he was persecuted, deprived of all his titles and orders and exiled to the city of Gorky. Only in 1985 he was allowed to come back to Moscow. He was given back all his titles and was elected a deputy of the Supreme Soviet. He said that our society should develop in a new direction and foresaw the changes that are taking place now

Oxford is renowned the world over, as the home of one of the oldest and most highly revered Universities in Europe. The city lies at the confluence of the Rivers Cherwell and Thames, or "Isis", as it is locally known, giving the opportunity for boating, punting and many pleasant riverside walks. Oxford is a compact city; its main streets radiate from Carfax Tower in the centre, with most of the colleges and University buildings all within easy walking distance. It was Mathew Arnold whose description lingers in the mind, and best sums up Oxford. "And that sweet City with her dreaming spires, she needs not June for beauty's heightening". Just outside the City on Boar's Hill is the best place to see an overall work of the "dreaming spires", a hauntingly beautiful and unforgettable sight.

Форма хора сочетает в себе трёхчастность с вариационностью. В основе лежит многократное варьированное проведение темы. Вместе с тем первые три вариации представляют собой как бы экспозицию темы, следующие вариации ( 4-6 ) её разработку, а 7-я вариация репризу. В 3-ем такте 1-й вариации основная тема передаётся альтам, сопрановой партии поручается подголосок (см. приложение). В последних тактах припева подготавливается переход в доминантовую тональность (до-мажор). Во второй вариации тема проходит параллельно у альтов и басов, высокие голоса ( сопрано, тенор ) выполняют функции подголоска, что делает звучание хора более насыщенным. 3-я вариация представляет собой повторение второй с той разницей, что в последних 2-х тактах происходит модуляция из до-мажора в соль-мажор и имеется четырёхтактное дополнение, которое заканчивается на доминанте соль-мажора. 4-я вариация модулирует из соль-мажора в параллельный ми-минор. В ней появляются имитационные проведения темы между мужскими и женскими голосами. 5-я вариация начинается в тональности ми-минор и заканчивается в ре-мажоре. Такое соотношение тональностей характерно для русской народной песни. Ядро темы, проведённое в начале у басов и вторых теноров, передаётся в следующем такте женским голосам, которые исполняют её в унисон. 6-я вариация написана в си- бемоль мажоре. Унисонное изложение темы у альтов и первых теноров предаёт звучанию хора тембровый колорит. В этой вариации композитор использует развитое многоголосье. 7-я вариация имеет секвенционное повторение припева и добавление к нему трёхтактного построения. Ладотональный план этой вариации: фа мажор ми-бемоль мажор до минор фа мажор, это придаёт необычайное, своеобразное звучание хору. В запеве 7-й вариации тема излагается поочерёдно у двух партий сначала мелодию ведут сопрано и тенора в несколько изменённом виде, а затем она передаётся альтам, а тенора повторяют свой вариант темы. Такой приём придаёт разнообразие тембровых красок в звучании хора ( см. приложение).

Wodehouse was educated at Dulwich College, where the library is now named after him, but his anticipated progression to university was stymied by family financial problems. Subsequently he worked for the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank in London (now known as HSBC) for two years, though he was never interested in banking as a career. He wrote part-time while working in the bank, eventually proving successful enough to take up writing as a full-time profession. He was a journalist with The Globe (a defunct English newspaper) for some years before moving to New York, where he worked for a time as theatre critic of The New Yorker, collaborated with Guy Bolton and Jerome Kern on several musical comedies, and began publishing short stories and novels. In the 1930s, he had two brief stints as a screenwriter in Hollywood, where he claimed he was greatly over-paid. Many of his novels were also serialised in magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post and The Strand, which also paid well.
