  Traditionally Easter parades of people in bright new spring clothes are held on this day. Another custom is decorating eggs for children. Halloween is the day or evening before all Saents Day. Children dress up in Halloween costumes and masks over their faces. They go out into the streets to beg. People give them sweets, cookies and apples. A favourite Halloween custom is to make a jack-o-lantern (the children scrape our a pumpkin and cut the eyes, nose and mouth). They light a candle inside the pumpkin to scare their friends. A few words about superstitions in Britain. The people believe that if they put shoes on the table, they will have bad luck. The English wont kill a spider, especially money spiders (small red ones). This is very unlucky Some animals are also lucky (black cats brihg good luck, white horses are also lucky. The most unlucky thing is to break a mirror. This brings 7 years of bad luck. The number 13 is the most unlucky number especially Combination Friday, the 13th.

They are given to people who have done favors for others or who work for them. Some people bake cookies or make candies or other special food treats for friends and neighbors. Many businesses give their workers a Christmas "bonus"gifts of extra moneyto show appreciation for their work. Christmas is also a time when most Americans show great generosity to others less fortunate than they. They send money to hospitals or orphanages or contribute to funds that help the poor.

  I like to travel by sea best of all. Some years ago we took a cruise along the Black Sea coast on board the liner " Russia ". We came to Sochi by train. Then we went to the seaport and saw our ship. It was big. We liked it very much. I remember the ship and our cabin. Our cabin was comfortable. It had got two berths, a table two chairs and one wide window and the warm wind was blowing through it. There was fresh air in our cabin during all the voyage. We had breakfast, dinner and supper on board the ship. When it was time to have meals we went to the restaurant.

They told the Tsar that he should instead go to the land where one can see 33 warriors and Chernomor rise from the ocean.

  As for me, my favourite programme is Akuna Matata on RTR, often on every Friday. On the one hand it is a very popular show, and on the other hand it is a serious programme in which the problems of teenagers are discussed. There is always a new hero of the problem with his own problem, character and work on the surrounding world. There are always two tribunes with old generation and with new generation, who express their opinions on the heros story. As you can see Akuna Matata is very is a valuable and informative TV programme. I think that the aim of this programme is to help teenagers to solve their problems and to cope with their difficulties. Old and new generations try to find new solutions to old problems of teenagers and they try to come to an agreement. Apart from its entertainment value, this programme provides useful topics or conversations. And, of cource, the talk-show host, is of great importance, her name is Maria Fillipenko.
