    The eighth planet from the Sun -- well, some of the time it's eighth, but more on that later -- has a rocky core surrounded by ice, hydrogen, helium and methane.Like the other gas planets, Neptune has rapidly swirling winds, but it is thought to contain a deep ocean of water. Its quick rotation fuels fierce winds and myriad storm systems. The planet has a faint set of rings and 8 known moons.

  • 1726. Urbanization and Urban Issues
    Информация пополнение в коллекции 09.12.2008

    Order can be easily found in physics or mathematics or any other science where basics are precisely defined, but it becomes much harder task to identify any order in a science where basics are blurry. History suggests that there were greater number scientists discovering laws of nature as oppose to laws of social behavior. It is probably coming from a notion that people tend to discover more obvious stuff in stead of theoretical. If we look at the way of living at the beginning of science we can surely say that it was more rural type of living than urban. It means simple fact that people did not interact with one another as much as we do in modern life and therefore science of nature was more obvious and had more practical use than just some theoretical study of hypothetical society that did not even exist at that time in the way we mean and study today. Modern economy has changed the way we live, interact with one another and behave under certain circumstances. It has even changed the way in which science is being practiced. In the past only wealthy people could afford to practice science, they were discovering things without any bios or any expectations from their discoveries, they were doing it just to satisfy their curiosity. Now days science became a profession and we see more and more individuals who are in to science for only financial satisfaction. Big corporations as well as small business mainly interested in that science, outcome of which can improve their performance in achieving certain goals. Scientists are being told that do and what to study. Modern technology together with economical forces has changed our way of living. Sophisticated tools and chemicals yield to higher crops from the same soil. We are becoming less concerned with quality of the food we consume and only think of a price we pay. Farming is expensive in a sense where we can buy food from overseas for less. This is one of the main factors that forced farmers to move and settle in cities. Recent statistical data suggests that 60 % of the entire population will be living in cities by the year of 2030 oppose to 14% in 1950. These changes force us to find science that will be dealing with human behavior and/or interactions among the society, science that will help us understand what makes us choose one place over another. This might help us solve many questions in our life that have reputations of being unsolved. Throughout this essay I will be raising questions that I think have the greatest importance and will try to answer them in the best way possible.

He makes the most important decisions and chooses the ministers, the members of his cabinet.

The holiday, originally called Decoration Day, is traditionally marked by parades, memorial speeches and ceremonies, and the decoration of graves with flowers and flags. Memorial Day was first observed on May 30, 1868, on the order of General John Alexander Logan for the purpose of decorating the graves of the American Civil War dead. It was observed on May 30 until 1971, when most states changed to a newly established federal schedule of holiday observance.

    Explore the work of the spring planet placements in another perspective - on the map of the USA. Each line represents a planet on an angle of the ingress chart and, in turn, a weather indication for the area it flows through. Notice the Saturn, Venus lines on the descendant or 7th angle/house cusp through New England. This indicates a cold and wet beginning to spring in the northeast. Uranus on the 4th angle/house cusp shocks the same area with the unstable weather patterns and reversals of weather events. Moving west you will see the Neptune 4th house line in the area of western Pennsylvania down through the Carolinas. Neptune is a good indicator for flooding if found in hard aspect to other planets. It is just that. The last of the Saturn and Neptune squares happens this spring and flooding along this Neptune line is highly probable. The Ohio Valley is most suspect for overflowing.

    It is not proposed to discuss here the origins and significance of the stored program. Nor I wish to deal with the related problem of whether the machines before the stored program were or were not “computers”. This subject is complicated by the confusion in actual names given to machines. For example, the ENIAC, which did not incorporate a stored program, was officially named a computer: Electronic Numeral Integrator And Computer. But the first stored-program machine to be put into regular operation was Maurice Wiles EDSAC: Electronic Delay Storage Automatic Calculator. It seems to be rather senseless to deny many truly significant innovations (by H.H.Aiken and by Eckert and Mauchly), which played an important role in the history of computers, on the arbitrary ground that they did not incorporate the stored-program concept. Additionally, in the case of Aiken, it is significant that there is a current computer technology that does not incorporate the stored programs and that is designated as (at least by TEXAS INSTRUMENTS) as “Harvard architecture”, though, it should more properly be called “Aiken architecture”. In this technology the program is fix and not subject to any alteration save by intent - as in some computers used for telephone switching and in ROM.

    The Executive Branch is headed by the President, who, together with the Vice President, is chosen in nationwide elections every four years (in every year divisible by four). The elective process for a U.S. President is unique. Americans vote for slates of presidential electors equal to the number of Senators and Representatives each state has in Congress (a total of 535 persons). The candidate with the highest number of votes in each state wins all the electoral votes of that state. The presidential candidate needs 270 electoral votes to be elected; if no candidate has a majority, the House of Representatives makes the decision. (In all other state and local elections, voters cast their votes directly for the candidate or referendum on that particular ballot.) Any natural-born American who is 35 years old or older may be elected to this office. The President proposes bills to Congress, enforces federal laws, serves as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and, with the approval of the Senate makes treaties and appoints federal judges, ambassadors and other members of the Executive Departments (the Departments of State, Defense Commerce, Justice, etc.). Each Cabinet head holds the title of Secretary and together they form a council called the Cabinet.

    Tropinin is one of the greatest masters of the Russian portrait. Tropinin was bora in the village of Karpovka in Novgorod province in a family of serfs. Tropinin's work is democratic and progressive. He is one of the most original and charming figures in the history of Russian art. His biography is an unusual one. Up to the age of 47. he was one of Count Morkov's serfs. According to the whims of his owner he worked in succession as a butler, a pastry cook and manager of the count's estate in the Ukraine. It was with great difficulty that he entered the Academy of Arts in Petersburg. He studied 'in Shchukin's class in 1798 - 1804. Forced to interrupt^ his studies at the Academy. Tropinin developed his skill independently, constantly painting from life. He reveals a poetic attitude to the world. The portrait studies of the count's children, the Morkov brothers and Natalia Morkova, show a light tonality. The "Portrait of the Artist's Son A.V.Tropinin" (1818) is executed with warmth and serious attitude to the world of childhood.

  • 1736. Valenz der Verben
    Информация пополнение в коллекции 24.07.2006

    Interessant ist die Konzeption, die von K.-E. Sommerfeld und H. Schreiber vertreten ist. Sie unterscheiden 3 Arten der Valenz.

    1. Die logische Valenz (in der Begriffstruktur). Unter der logischen Valenz werden begriffliche Relationen verstanden. Auf Grund dieser Valenz unterscheidet man begrifflich angelegte und begrifflich nicht angelegte Partner des Wortes. Z.B. „ein grьner Baum“, aber „eine gratze“.
    2. Die semantische Valenz. (konkrete sprachliche Struktur) Hierunter ist die Tatsache zu verstehen, da? bestimmte Wцrter bestimmte Partner verlangen. Diese Partner mьssen bestimmte Bedeutungselemente besitzen, um eine Verbindung eingehen zu kцnnen. Und ьber diese Bedeutungselementeverfьgt nicht nur das Verb, sondern auch andere Wortarten.
    3. Die syntaktische Valenz (konkrete sprachliche Struktur). Unter der syntaktischen Valenz wird die Tatsache verstanden, da? die Valenztrдger auf grund ihrer kategorialen Angehцrigkeit und auf Grund ihrer Verbindungsmittel syntaktische Rolle der Mitspieler und ihre morphologische Struktur der Mitspieler bestimmten z.B. Das Verb „danken“ fordert 3 Aktanten:
    4. ein Substantiv im Nominativ;
    5. ein Substantiv im Dativ;
    6. eine Prдpositionalgruppe mit „fьr“;

    In an effort to save the royal mummies from destruction, and to salvage the remaining treasures of the royal tombs, the priests of the end of the 20th and the 21st Dynasty opened the tombs, collected the mummies and buried them in two or more "caches". The first "cache" was a rock tomb high up in the mountains of Deir el-Bahari that was probably intended as the family tomb of the 21st Dynasty king-priests. The second "cache" was the tomb of 18th Dynasty king Amenhotep II. Not every royal mummy of the New Kingdom has been found, so there is room for the hypothesis that there may have been a third "cache" which has not yet been identified as such or which has not yet been discovered.

    The most important thing to understand about American is probably their devotion to individualism. They have been trained since very early in their lives to consider themselves as separate individuals who are responsible for their own situations in life and their own destinies. They have not been trained to see themselves as members of a close-knit, tightly interdependent family, religious group, tribe, nation, or other collectivity. Conversely Russians find themselves part of some group. They always have some kind of attachment, especially family relations.

    Після закінчення Лубенського педтехнікуму довелося вчителювати на Донбасі, в невеликому шахтарському селищі під назвою Сьома Рота. Але те тривало зовсім недовго, почалися конфлікти з місцевим партійним начальством, яке переслідувало енергійного вчителя математики й фізики за його новаторський підхід до системи викладання. До того ж додавалися ще й інші події, які могли скінчитися для молодого вчителя дуже зле. Про той час Барка згадує так: «Я побачив, як невеличка групка місцевих так званих «активістів» найбезсовіснішим чином обкрадала місцевий кооператив, а діти селян в цей час ходили босими по снігу. Я їх викрив як злодіїв перед селом. Вони б зі мною швидко поквиталися, але я все-таки був учителем. Тому їм зручніше було оголосити мене божевільним. Трохи пізніше відкрив, що злодіями в тому чи тому селі справа не обмежилася. Це була велетенська темна сила, яка загарбала колосальні простори, на чолі з головним злодієм»1. З цієї причини у 1928 р. він виїздить на Північний Кавказ в м.Краснодар, вступає до місцевого педінституту на філологічний факультет. Тоді ж наважився надіслати до Харкова у «Червоний шлях» П.Тичині власні вірші, які були опубліковані. Та подія додала впевненості в собі 1930 року з'являється перша Барчина книжка поезій «Шляхи». Але слави авторові вона не принесла, навпаки в «Літературній газеті» його звинувачено у виявах «класово-ворожого» світогляду, «буржуазному націоналізмі», змушено до прилюдного каяття на зборах «РАППу» (Російської асоціації пролетарських письменників, до української секції якої входив поет). Звісно, та перша книжка була ще учнівською, у ній вчувався «кларнетизм» раннього Тичини, але символічне наповнення образів свідчило про великі потенційні можливості обдаровання молодого поета, що, напевне, і привернуло пильну увагу партійної критики, яка виховувала й підтримувала лише покірні посередності. Отож уже з перших кроків у літературі Василь Барка заявив себе як «чужорідне тіло», що його система без вагань готова була коли не придушити, то виштовхнути геть за межі «комуністичного раю». З цієї причини твори українського письменника Василя Баски упродовж кількох десятиліть були зовсім невідомі на рідній землі на них було накладено «табу». Зате ніщо не перешкодило йому понести з своєму серці рідну Україну в широкий світ. Але спочатку треба було вчасно замовкнути, герметизуватися, щоб не знівелювати те основне в собі, що могло невдовзі буйно прорости на благодатнішому грунті. Василь Барка спочатку «вдягає маску» 1932 року в Харкові виходить його наступна книжка під назвою «Цехи», тепер ідеологічно правильна, на «виробничі сюжети», що зафіксував і відгук на неї в тій же «Літературній газеті». Поезії, що ввійшли до збірки, створювалися під свіжим враженням від спостережень на заводі «Красноліт», де автор був у «творчому відрядженні». Але в цей час у житті поета сталася і приємна подія: він одружився з чудовою дівчиною-адигейкою Довлетхан, через рік у них народився син Юрій.

    Статья пополнение в коллекции 12.01.2009

    Vatican City is a city-state. It came into existence only in 1929. It is thus clearly distinct from the central authority of the Roman Catholic Church, known as the Holy See, which existed long before 1929. Ordinances of Vatican City are published in Italian. Official documents of the Holy See are issued mainly in Latin. The two entities even have distinct passports: the Holy See, not being a country, only issues diplomatic and service passports; the state of Vatican City issues normal passports. In both cases the number of passports issued is extremely limited.
