CLIMATE WEATHER AND NATURAL WORLD

(разработка урока по английскому языку для 6 класса – углубленный уровень, УМК О.В. Афанасьевой)

Задача урока: обобщить знания обучающихся по разделу, проконтролировать навыки говорения, аудирования, письменной речи, знаний лексического и грамматического материала.

Цели урока:

воспитание доброжелательного отношения к природе, формирование интереса у обучающихся к изучению и решению экологических, проблем;
Развитие языковых, интеллектуальных, коммуникативных способностей обучающихся;
Формирование умений систематизировать, обобщать и представлять информацию по данной теме на английском языке;
Развитие умений оценивать уровень культуры диалогической речи;
Расширение лингвистического и общего кругозора обучающихся;

Учебные пособия: презентация к уроку, мультимедийная установка, аудиозапись текста, индивидуальные карточки для выполнения теста по аудированию.

Ход урока:

1. Введение в ситуацию. Приветствие. Объявление темы урока

T - How are you?

P - I’m fine thanks.

T. – As I know weather has a great influence on people. If the weather is fine they are in a good mood? But if the weather is bad they are bad. I think you have guessed about the topic of our lesson today. Is that so?

P – It is : Climate, Weather and Natural World.

T – Is this topic interesting for you? Why not to discuss it?

2. Монологические высказывания обучающихся.

Англичане очень часто говорят о погоде и сегодня мы пригласили метеоролога, который расскажет нам о прогнозе погоды в Великобритании.

T – Tell me please who is especially interested in weather forecast?

P – English people.

T – Yes. If we don’t ask the question: “What is the weather like today?” many times a day English people think you are rude. That’s why today we have invited a weatherwoman and she tells us about weather in Great Britain.

Прогноз погоды представляется учеником:

Good morning, and here is the weather forecast for tomorrow made by the BBC.

- In Edinburgh it will be cold with snow. The temperature will be -20.

It is a perfect day for skiing

In London the day will be clear with a lot of sunshine. The temperature will be -+5 It is a perfect day for playing with friends.
In Newcastle it will be a wet day with heavy showers. The temperature will be +10.

. Don’t forget your umbrellas.

In Cardiff it will be dry but cloudy. The temperature will be +7, It is a perfect day for fishing

Thank you for your attention.

3. Письменная речь.

Гость хочет узнать умеют ли обучающиеся составить прогноз погоды в различных городах России.

P – I’d like to know what weather will be in different cities of Russia. Takes the cards and describe the weather on them.

Дети записывают погоду, изображенную на карточках и рассказывают.

P - In Sochi it will be warm and bright. The temperature will be +20. It is a perfect day for lying on the beach .

P – In St Petersburg the day will be cool. The temperature will be +7. It is a perfect day for camping.

P - In Moscow it will be wet with a thick fog. The temperature will be about 0. Be careful driving a car!.

P - In Belgorod it will be windy and cloudy. The temperature will be-3. Wear your warm clothes.

4. Игра.

Гость из Великобритании играет в игру «Подумай и ответь». Обучающиеся выбирают билет с вопросом. Затем они задают свой вопрос и отвечают на вопрос соседа по цепочке.

. P – Let’s play the game “Think and answer”. Take questions. Ask your questions to each other and answer them.

Вопросы для игры:

1. People of what professions are interested in weather forecast? Why?

2. Where can people get the information about daily weather forecast?

3. When and where do weathermen usually collect the information about weather?

4. What can the weathermen understand with the help of this information?

5. What is the usual weather if a barometer shows high pressure in summer and winter?

5. Фонетическая зарядка.

T – There are a lot of proverbs and sayings about weather. Who knows any of them?

6. Диалогическая речь

Иногда погода бывает солнечной, а иногда дождливой и пасмурной. Составьте диалоги о разной погоде (работа в парах).

Sometimes the weather is sunny and bright but sometimes wet and nasty. Face each other; make your own dialogs an then act them out

It’s a fine day today, isn’t it?
Yes it’s nice and bright this morning.
Yes. Much better than yesterday. It’s good to see the sun again.
Let’s hope it will keep fine for the weekend.

8. Чтение и работа с текстами - дебаты.(работа в группах).

Представьте, что вы члены экологических кружков. Вам необходимо прочитать предложенные тексты, обсудить их, выбрать главную информацию и представить доклады на темы:

1) Почему климат меняется на нашей планете.

2) Природный мир в опасности.

Let’s imagine that you are members of ecological teams. You’ll receive the texts. You should look through the texts, discuss them, find the main idea and prepare the shot summary.

9. Диалогическая речь.

Из ваших выступлений ясно, что не только растительный, но и животный мир в опасности в наши дни. Некоторые животные занесены в красную книгу. Давайте посмотрим на этих животных, прочитаем их имена и запомним(на экране редкие виды животных).

From your reports it has become clear that climate has a great influence not only on the plant. But many animals are in danger too. And you can find them in the “Red Book”. Look at the screen? Read the names of these animals and try to remember them.

К сожалению многих этих животных можно увидеть только в зоопарке. Наш корреспондент побывал вчера в зоопарке, и вот, что он услышал (диалог в зоопарке учебник О.В. Афанасьева English IV с. 26)

Unfortunately we can see these rare species of animals at the zoo. And our correspondent was at the zoo yesterday and here what the children were speaking about.

10. Аудирование.

Наш журналист прислал нам историю, которая случилась в зоопарке. Прослушайте текст и ответьте: «Кто Том Робинсон по профессии?»(первое прослушивание)

А сейчас прослушайте текст еще раз и выполните тестовое задание(второе прослушивание и выполнение задания)

Our journalist sent us a story which happened at the zoo. Listen to the story and answer: What is Tom Robinson?

11. Подведение итогов урока.

Каждый должен защищать нашу планету и делать все, чтобы помочь окружающему нас миру природы. Давайте дадим советы и положим их в волшебную коробочку. Может быть, в 2064 году дети откроют эту коробочку, прочитают ваши советы и помогут нашей хрупкой планете. Учитель выставляет оценки, раздает смайлики с оценками.

Everybody should protect our fragile planet and do everything to help out natural world. Write the words of advice for our future generation and put them into the magic box. And maybe in 2064 children will open this box, read your advice and help our planet.

12. Рефлексия. Выставление оценок.

А сейчас давайте составим синквейны. Синквейн – это стихотворение из пяти строк, которое строится по правилам:

1)    В первой строчке называется тема (обычно это существительное).

2)    Вторая строчка – это описание темы в двух словах (прилагательные).

3)    Третья строка – описание действия в рамках этой темы тремя глаголами.

4)    Четвертая строка - это фраза из четырех слов, показывающая отношение к теме.

5)    Последняя строка - это синоним из одного слова, который повторяет суть темы.

Now let’s make up cinquains. Cinquain is a short poem which includes 5 lines and writes according to the rules:

The first line is the main word which is the noun;
The second line consists of two adjectives;
The third line consists of three verbs;
the fourth line is a phrase which describes the main word;
The fifth line is the synonym of the main word from the first line;

13. Домашнее задание.

Существует организация, помогающая больным и брошенным животным. Она называется «Синий Крест». Найдите информацию об этой организации из Интернета и напишите мини – эссе.

There is the organization which helps sick and unwanted animals. The name of this organization is “The Blue Cross”. Find the information about this organization from the Internet and write down the mini – essay.
