Викторина “Great Britain and Russia”.


Оборудование: наглядность, магниты, эмблемы для команд, раздаточный материал

Цель: знакомство учащихся с законами РФ и Великобритании по вопросам защиты прав детей и граждан в целом.


Ход мероприятия:


Introduction: Hello our dear friends. Today we are going to speak about Britain and Russia. We shall compare these two countries: their symbols, traditions and customs, and some other facts. Also we shall have a talk about human rights and find out what rights and liberties people have in Russia and in Britain. What do you know about Britain and Russia?


So, let’s start our quiz and define a winner!


1 тур – Блицтур.

Цель: определить лучшего эрудита.


Answer our questions:

1. What is the official name of the country which we call Great Britain?
   
2. Name the capitals of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?
   
3. What are the main colors of the Union Flag?
   
4. What is the official name of the country which we call Russia?
   
5. What are the main colors of the Russian Federation flag?
   
6. Who was called “An Iron Lady?”
   

7) What is the symbol of London?

8) What is the symbol of Russia?

9) When was the new Constitution of the Russia adopted?

10) When was the British Bill of human rights passed?


2 тур – “What do you know about human rights in Russia and Britain?”

- It’s known that the rights and liberties of the citizens of the Russian Federation are granted by Chapter 2 of the Constitution adopted in 1993.

- As for the citizens of the United Kingdom, their rights are granted by The Bill of Rights of 1689. It’s a statement of basic human rights.

- The next task for you is to decide whether the following statements about human rights in Britain and Russia are true or false. This task is for both teams. ( Задание выполняется на русском языке).

1) Каждый гражданин имеет право на жизнь

2) Каждый гражданин имеет право на частную собственность.

3) Не все граждане имеют право на участие в культурной жизни страны.

4) Каждый гражданин имеет право на благоприятную окружающую среду.

5) Граждане имеют право на охрану здоровья и медицинскую помощь.

6) Каждый гражданин имеет право на образование.


3 тур - “Do you know what group the following rights belong to?”

- The task for you is to divide the following human rights into 3 columns.

1. the right to education (образование); 2. the right to life; 3. the right to information; 4. the right to safety (безопасность); 5. the right to have public meetings (собрания, митинги); 6. the right to freedom of religion (свобода вероисповедания); 7. the right to leisure (отдых); 8. the right to health and health care (на охрану здоровья и мед.помощь)

Decide what rights children and young people have in Russia and in Britain. Учащимся необходимо из списка всех прав выбрать те, которые относятся к правам детей в России и в Британии.)

1. the right to get a job at 13;

2. the right to work full time at 18;

3. the right to leave home without parents’ consent at 18 (без разрешения родителей);

4. boys can join the army at 16;

5. the right to apply for own passport at 16;

6. the right to apply for own passport at 14;

7. boys can join the army at 18;

8. the right to get a licence to drive a car and ride a motorbike at 17;

9. the right to get a licence at 18 (получить права);

10. the right to leave home without parents’ consent at 16 (без разрешения родителей)
